There was a terrible thunderstorm in the night. We all were scared, lightning flashed very closely and the thunder was so loud it shook the house. Miss Sue said it was the worst one she has ever expereienced. She packed us up in our travel bag along with her money, car keys and eye glasses just in case we had to make a quick get away. Unfortunately we were up from about 1:30 am to almost 4:00 which meant by the time we got up for the day it was 10am. We hoped to go to Lucy's Dollhouse Shop in Camden which is a 2 hour drive but decided since it would be almost Noon before we could leave and it is still cloudy with chance of more showers that it would not be fun to go to the coast today. We've posted a house that the vacationing Hittys saw last year, we hope the weather clears and we can make the trip on another Saturday. Miss Sue said we would try to find something fun to do here. The long range forcast is for rain until Thursday. Yuck! That sure puts a cramp in our plans for day trips and picnics if it's rainy, cloudy and foggy at the coast.
