Sunday, July 26, 2009 We had a visitor

Today was an exciting day. Juliette Gordon Low the founder of Girl Scouts of the USA came to visit us. She told us her father nicknamed her Daisy and we could call her Daisy too. Miss Daisy founded the Girl Scout movement on March 12, 1912, that was 97 years ago. Miss Daisy told us she sold her pearls in order to fund her mission and as a special gift she brought pearls for us too. She also brought three buttons from an old Girl Scout uniform for each of us to take home. Unfortunatelly she does not remember the date of the uniform. We took turns sitting on her lap and told her our most favorite camp story. It was a great day!
